Interactive Comics - Shopping Trolley Secrets
This project was part of my MSc Thesis Project exploring the affordances of storytelling in informal science settings. It was undertaken as part of a live exhibition “Shopping Trolley Secrets” at We the Curious, Bristol.
Project goals
- Design a low-resource, light-touch exhibit to complement the wider exhibition
- Provoke thinking around the idea of data donation for socially useful research
- Help create space for a dialogue between visitors and researchers
The comic includes a tear-off section with interactive elements designed to help foster a dialogue between researchers and the public
Role
- Concept development for a short comic style exhibit
- Translate ideas such as data donation, and how shopping data can be useful to researchers - into visually engaging analogies
- Illustration, design and creative production
